Many of the homes here have been remodeled and updated. Most were built in the 1960′ and 1970’s. They are priced from $300,000 to 700,000. The yards are large and the nearby elementary school is well reputed. It is anticipated that the new light rail service, which will have a station at Southmoor Park, will enhance the attractiveness of this area as well. There is soon to open a light rail station within 1/2 mile of this area, connecting Southmoor Park to both downtown Denver and the Park Meadows shopping center, as well as Skyridge hospital and medical center in Lone Tree to the south. Right now local residents can shop at the nearby Tamarac shopping center and visit a number of local restaurants and coffee shops.

The commute to downtown Denver currently is about 15 minutes and the commute to the Denver Tech Center is less than 10 minutes. The Tech Center is "the other downtown" with as much office space as downtown Denver. There are also plenty of eateries and shopping there. This unique, central location draws many residents to this area.
